I moved to Tampa a couple of years ago from a border town in Texas and I've been to several different Mexican restaurants trying to find a familiar taste. I finally found it!!! This place is legit. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food this is the place. The restaurant is small but clean and the man that took my order was attentive and nice. And the cost is totally reasonable. I just wish I lived a bit closer.
So glad we decided to try Monterrey Taqueria! The food was amazing...great beans and fantastic steak burrito! Wonderful customer service! We will definitely return!
We ate here for the first time today and the food was absolutely amazing, as well as everyone who works here! I had steak fajitas along and my wife had a burrito (which I helped finish!). They also have a plentiful array of spices and sauces (as well as some awesome hot sauce!). We will be back, for sure!
The owner is such a sweetheart and always so kind to talk to. We love coming here! The food is very authentic and delicious. Very affordable. Highly recommend the Al Pastor tacos!

This place is absolutely PHENOMENAL! There is a salsa bar with different salsas, cilantro, onions, and other taco toppings. Their in house salsa was to die for and the tacos the star of the day. Will definitely be back!
